Small Business Owners: Show Some Respect.

Small Business Owners: Get Over Yourselves.
Boy, the Romney Campaign better ride this statement like a rented mule.

"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen."

I was driving home last night from work and thinking about this statement from Roanoke last week and just really getting fired up about it.

Now, unlike some Republicans I'm going to read this paragraph in the spirit that it was spoken in.  What he's saying is, you couldn't have created that successful business without the infrastructure that government provides.  He seems to think its a partnership that you whiny little small business owners are oblivious to.  Show some respect.

For starters, that is an ass-backward form of reasoning.  Government cannot function without taxpayers - 52% that pay taxes, that is (instead of "I am the one percent" some of us are saying "I am the 52%... that actually pays taxes).  And the entire notion that private enterprise should be on its knees thanking government for allowing it to exist - the thrust of this clown's mindset, whether he admits it or not - is counter to everything this nation was founded on.

But want really frosts the sh** out of me is his tone.  I'm very, very annoyed by tone deaf people.  What you say is almost secondary to how you say it.  Listen to how this arrogant little child lectures small business owners:

Did you get that, small business owners? The smartest man in America, the man who knows what creates successful business, is putting you in your place. And he has a right to. Look at how well he's functioned as CEO of the United States of America. He knows what it takes to create successful business. What the hell were you small business owners thinking? And if you are Tea Party types, you're really stupid, you know. Your efforts aren't as important (20 hour work days, putting your personal property in hock etc) as the roads and bridges that government (ie, him) builds for you. You small business owners are ungrateful little assholes. You need to listen to this again: Small business owners, grow up. Stop crying about taxes. No wonder our economy is in the toilet. Obama threw billions of dollars of your money at you and growth is still anemic. You need to quit going to your Tea Party Rallies, complaining about government, and realize that more government - especially more stimulus funded by your tax dollars - is what is going to revive the American Economy. You small business owners are a bunch of ungrateful, spoiled brats. You need to be more like my hero below.

Seriously, I can't see this narcissistic ignorant yokel get voted out of office fast enough. The most breathtaking part is the fact that he is completely oblivious to his own ignorance. His first real job in life was the Presidency of the United States of America. And he's only there because millions of guilty idiots put him there to assuage their guilt. He thinks he's there because he's the Anointed One. So, with that confidence in hand, he has the right to tell the risk takers that make this country work that they need to be a little more thankful for him and his government.

Oh dear god is it November 6th yet? If things go the way they should, my liver will be shot by November 8th from celebrating.
