Why Aren't We Pointing Fingers In The Right Direction?

As many have already pointed out, the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the whole sub-prime mortgage debacle is being grossly misunderstood in its root cause. The problem is not, as usual, the free market; the problem is government meddling. Or, as my friends at National Review like to say "bone headed government intervention." So, what do the presidential candidates want to do to fix the problem the government created? Have the government get more involved! Brilliant. John and Sarah, I expect that kind of talk from the other clowns. I expect better from you.

A blogger named Doug Ross has created "Obamonopoly", "timelining" the whole Fannie/Freddie debacle. Very amusing. Check it out (hat tip to Clarice Feldman at American Thinker). Also, check out IBD's very good take here.
