In this story from al-Reuters, Obama, who FINALLY decided to visit Iraq and see first hand the success the surge has brought, stated to reporters that he had a "very constructive" meeting with Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.
Constructive for who? Obama's understanding of what is really happening on the ground there? Or for US/Iraqi relations, which is usually what such a statement implies? But how can there be any constructive conversation between a head of state and a junior US Senator with regard to the relationship between their respective nations?
Let me answer my own question. Obama and his foot-washed disciples think they are running out the clock on his inauguration. To Obama, it is only a matter of time before he assumes the throne, so he might as well "be President now".
His arrogance knows no bounds.
