From Investors Business Daily

This Editorial's ("Rigging The Debate") money paragraph:

Feinstein and Durbin and the many other liberal Democrats who want to re-impose the Fairness Doctrine are indeed afraid of the people. Because they know that the freer the exchange of ideas is in America, the more chance they will lose at the ballot box.

Consider it Jeff's Garage & Ale House's "thought for the day."

The Left fails in talk radio not because station owners are under represented based on ethnic status, as the idiotic and now famous Center For American Progress's study suggests. The people who are apt to tune in to talk radio don't want to listen to Leftists hosts. In other words, they fail like an 80s sitcom. Station owners aren't biased toward anything other than ratings and what draws advertisers. If Jim Hightower and Mario Cuomo, among others, drew listeners and maintained ratings that attract advertisers, they'd be on the air.

Leftists like Feinstein and Durbin know they can't compete in talk radio. So, why not silence it? If your a Power Whore, that's one of the many tools in your tool box to stay in power, silence debates that you cannot win. And Bush is the tyrant. Go figure.....
