John Derbyshire at National Review Online Today

Derbyshire has this - I especially enjoyed this paragraph, as one who has always felt that California is the most overrated state in the Union:

I’m not going to offer a mini-review of (author Jeremy) Iversen’s book (High School Confidential) here. It does not have many surprises — certainly not for those of us who believe that California is an irredeemably messed-up place to whose land borders someone should apply a humongous power saw so that the entire wretched state could float off into the Pacific Ocean and cease bothering us.
