The fact that Shiite Strongman Muqtada al Sadr ran from the area at the outset of the surge is proof enough that the trouble makers there know we're serious. Yet people like Harry Reid and some of the wombats in the Left Wing Blogosphere have no patience (or you have to wonder, desire) to see success. Power Whores like Reid are all about power and reelection, defeating Republicans, damn what gets in their way. So they make statements like this, completely erroneous, short sighted, lacking anything of substance other than the desire to embarrass a sitting president for purely selfish reasons. This, folks, is why I call Reid and his traveling companies Power Whores. What is it going to take to capture and retain power? They'll do it, the hell with what is destroyed in the process.
I don't get a lot of warm fuzzies from some of the Left Wing blogs. Scour them for their thoughts on the surge and they have the opinion that, since Wally and the Beav aren't flying kites through Sadr City, the Lion isn't laying with the Lamb, yada yada that the surge is a failure. Again, this is why I say, they have no patience and no perspective. Several reports coming from the ground talk of businesses etc opening up and Baghdad coming back to life after the surge. There is improvement, but its not going to be Pleasant Valley overnight. The left Wing Blogs were laughing at John McCain wearing body armor during his visit. So what? Its still a war zone, though there is improvement. Like so many other spoiled brats on the Left in this country, they have a microwave mentality about the success of Iraq's fledgling Democracy. The pizza is at my front door in 30 minutes, so why isn't Baghdad like Salt Lake City in that same amount of time? Idiots. And who do these wombats feed off of, and pay money too? Power Whores like Ebeneezer Reid.
Senator Reid, you along with the Useful Idiots of the MSM are going to be personally responsible for our failure in Iraq if it goes the way of Saigon circa 1975. I hope you all have to live with that for the rest of your lives.
